Our History
ACPRO SLU, is a Radiation Protection Technical Unit, authorized by the Nuclear Safety Council since 1990.
May 1990
Foundation of the ACPRO company, whose purpose is to provide “services in the field of radiological protection”.
September 1990
ACPRO is authorized by the CSN as UTPR, with reference UTPR/B0002, for the provision of radiological protection services “in 2nd and 3rd category facilities belonging to both the hospital and industrial research fields”.
1994
Extension of the scope of the authorization by the CSN to include the leakage test for sealed radioactive sources.
2007
Homologation, by the CSN, of the ACPRO courses for directors and operators of diagnostic radiology, in blended mode, with subsequent renewals.
2010
Extension of the scope of the authorization by the CSN, with the incorporation of the services to be provided at the diagnostic radiology facilities, based on the provisions of Royal Decree 1085/2009.
2012
Homologation by the CSN of the ACPRO courses, in blended learning mode, for the training of supervisors and operators of radioactive facilities, for the areas of nuclear medicine and encapsulated sources;
2013
Homologation by the CSN for the training of supervisors and operators of radioactive facilities, covering all areas: a) nuclear medicine, b) radiotherapy, c) laboratories with non-seled radioactive sources, d) industrial radiography and e) process control and analytical techniques
2014
ACPRO SL is now majority owned by the TÜV-Nord Group.
2018
ACPRO is now wholly owned by the TÜV-Nord Group, becoming an SLU.
2018
In Spain, the TÜV-Nord Group has two authorized UTPRs: in ACPRO the UTPR/B0002 and in CUALICONTROL the UTPR/M-0009. For harmonization purposes, both the UTPR business unit and the Occupational Risk Prevention business unit are transferred from CAULICONTROL to ACPRO.
2020
Extension of the scope of the authorization with the incorporation of the radiological verification of equipment with a view to its type approval as radioactive apparatus.
